HORTICULTURAL SOCIEY, A meoting of the Motuoka Horticultural Socioty was held in tho Church of England schoolroom last ovoning to recoive tho report and balance-sheet for the last year and to elect a now committeo. Tho roport was read by tho secretary, Mr Rankin. Tho balanco-shoot showed that tho takings and oxpondituro nearly balanced. Tho Society had boon unfortunate in having wet weather on both Spring and Autumn show days. The schedule of prizes was -revised and is to bo printed shortly, nnd it is advisable that anyone wishing to givo special prizes should send particulars to tho secretary early, It was also decided to hold tho Spriug show on Wednesday 18th Novoinbor. ,■■■■■»
