Ihe Speight Appeal in Victoria

Mr J. H. Smith, Ute chairman of the South Australian Railway Commissioners, ig appealing to Mr Speight's friends to raise the amount of security required to enable him to appeal to .toe rriry Cuunoil against the judgment in bis libel action against the 11 Age." The amount of the security fixed by the Victorian Court is considered excessive.
[Mr Speight was formerly Chief Railway Commissioner in Victoria.]
