4 General Strike lhreatened.
[United Press Assooiation.l m, v , Sydney, This Day. , Tbo Newcastle Miners' Association has issued a drcular to the members asking them to seriously consider the position and definitely decide whetbor the time has not arrived when an attempt should be made to obtain an advance in wages The circular also aska whether if a ballot were taken and a two- thirds majority was in favour of a strike, the members would abide by the result. The eirenhjr states that every effort had been tried dining the past two years to get the owners to work with the miners-in bring: ing about a better condition of trade, but all had failed.
