A Murderous Threat.

Wellington, February 27. Mossrs Harcourt and Co, wbo wore about to conduct the auction salo of Locher's properties wbeu the shooting affair occurred on Tuesday, have reoeived the following anonymous communication, and handed it to the police:—" Take warning, it is well known that you are known to bo conniving with scheming speculators by selling unfortunate Locher's property all in one lot, when it would get four times as much separately, and leavo a surplus. As a friend I advise you to postpone it, and put it up fair in different lots." The auctioneers have no option with regard to the sale, which is under the conduct of tbo Eegistrar of the Supreme Court, and town and country properties are being sold together owing to them being comprised in one second mortgage.
Mr Norbury bad slightly improved to-day, but the bullet has not yet been discovered.
