Mr Villiers on New Zealand.
[United Press Association.] Sydney, This Day. Mr ViilierSi war correspondent in an interview upon his visit to New Zealand, said that it struck him that the people were not so happy as when he last visiLod the country sixteen years ago. Women's franchise he considers a mistake He sees no objection to women really possessing a stake in the country having votes, but does nob agree with the one woman' one vote principle. The Liquor Bill, especially the clause dealing with the closing of clubs at the aanie time as hotels he considers an unwarrantable interference with the liberty of the subject. Speaking generally, the colony had not fulfilled the great future which he had anticipated for it on his previous visit. The country was lovely, the people were charming, and nature had (lone everything for the place. Man alone was trying to ruin it. He had returned with' a stronger belief than ever that an unpaid Parliament is the moat perfect form of Government.
