LOVE TRAGEDY IN PARIS.
The occupants of a house in the Rue f-t. Andre dfis Arts, Paris, were startled on a recent Tuesday morning by terrible cries proceeding from the top floor, and immediately afterwards a young woman, who was only partially dressed, was found on the stairoase bleeding from a wound in the face, ir he was assisted to the street and carried in a fainting condition to the nearest chemist's, where it was ascertained that a revolver bullet had lodged in her right cheek just under the eye, and that another bullet had slightly wounded her in the region of ihe Bhoulder- blade, Two policemen foraed open the door of the room occupied by the woman, and there discovered a man, a boxmaker, named Denonfonx, lying on the bed with two bullet wounds iv his head. It was ascertained from a statement in the man's handwriting found in the room that 1. enoufoux and the woman, a dressmaker named Deniutb, had had a dispute about leaving . Paris, and Denouioux, being unable to induce his mistress to accompany him, shot her, and then endeavoured to kill himself. Both are in a serious condition.
