Our entry consisted of horse's of ail olasses, including a Jew medium draughts ism Cheviot
(which were unsold), and also some useful harness horses, broken and unbroken, and the trotting mare Khandallah, which was sold at £10 10s. We also sold harness horses broken at £8 to £10 : some light harness sorts from £6 to £7 10s; and a good colt and filly for harness work at £25 the pair ; aged aud inferior horses about the usual prico. Buyers were present for good express and cab horses, and all likely-sorts found new owners at fair values, but there was a singular absence of really good material. We eould placo really good heavy draughts at values well up, but Canterbury cannot supply us at present, owing to the quantity of wheat going in just now. Wo sold horso covers to 13/-, and withdrew a nice dog-cart from ralmerston at -20. Grain.— Wheat market a little easier, and the rush is over, but later values maintained. Oats : market firmer, in sympathy with wheat — best feed 1/9 to 1/10, medium 1/7 to 1/8.
Sheepskins and Wool —All coming forward selling freely. Green skins up to 3/for best, 2/- to 2/G for medium, 4Jd per lb for dry skins.
