President Cleveland is fighting against the Silver Coinage Party, but has arranged for the coinage of £2,")0,000 worth. lne Federal officials and a very large number of newspapers advocate a sound money policy. The Republicans are agitating for the nomination of ex-President Harrison, who is in favour of tho larger use of silver and lixing a basis to maintain equality.
