POKORORO.

A meeting of householders was held in the [schoolroom last Monday evening for the purpose of electing a School Committee for the ensuing year, when the fallowing gentlemen we're declared duly elected: — Messrs C Green Junr., J A Haycock, T Heath, S Hodges, W Hodges, W Myttcn, and J W Sutclill'e. Much regret was expressed at {the retirement of Mr J E Salisbury, who lias left the district. Ho has been a very useful member of the Committee ever since the school was first opened. The first meeting of the new Committee was held immediately after the election, when Mr J A Haycock was re-eleoted Chairman and Secretary.
