The Secondary Schools Conference opened thin morning, when twelve delegates wore present, and the schools represented were the ChrUtdmrcU Hoys' High .School, CiiriKtclmrcli Girls' High' School, Chrht'B College, Wellington College, Tiimnulligh School, Nelson Girls 1 College, Wanganui Collegiate School, nnd Napier Girls' High School. The Hon. \V. P. Keeves, Minister of Education, and the Key. W. J. Hubens, Insjtuutur(Jeneral, were also present. Mr C. K. IJev.in Urown head ma-ster of the Cnriittliiircli Hoys' High School, occupied the chair Mv Iteeves made ii lengthy speech, I in which he indicated the widening, as far as possible, of the sphere of secondary school.
