Auckland November 20.
At a meeting of the University College Council, Sir G. M. O'Rorke, presiding, the chairman stated that the expenditure had been £700 in excess of income, and that re* trenohment must be effected this year. They would be compelled to make up the deficit from their fixed deposit, which should be a nest-egg. A Eetrenchment Committee was appointed.
