FLOWER SHOW,
Thore was a very good ntjbsndanoe at the Flower Show yeajjerday, and general admiration of the quality of the exhibits was expressed. Mf Cooper of Wellington acfsd ai judge of chrysanthemum?, Messrs Bannohr, Ohisholm, and Grnhim ns judgea of cut flowers and floral designs, Messrs Mollor and Rumbold of fruit and sundries, and Messrs Martin and Friend of hops. Great proiao is due to Mrs Toplies for the decorated diploma painted by her for the prize takers in the cballouge olass. The illustrations in eaoh take the appropriate form of chrysanthemums painted in oil, and are deoidedly artistic. It may be mentioned that the ohallenge eup which heads the prize li>fc is due to the efforts of Mr B. H, Moll« who induoed twelve other gentlemen to join with hi'nji in gaying The prize list of tfre Bhow will be found on tho fourth page. In addition jbo fa namea given Mr o. Bolton reoelved a oertifioato of merit for one of hia seedling ohrjsanthemums.
