Tuesday, December 5. General Superinfcendenoy.— The Rev W. B. Aiministration of the Lord's Supper. -On , the motion of Mr Parker, seoonded bj the Ke? W. B. Marten, it wbb resolved " That we recommend Conferenoe to grant Chairman of Districts »he right to empower Home Missionaries to administer the Sactameais where deemed advisable." Home Mission Fund.— The Bey. Hetaraka Waritji presented a full report of hia work. The income from the distriot for this Fuad waß reported as Nelson £35, Riohmond £7 10*, Blenheim £40, Hokitika £8 IGa 3J, Greymouth £13 12a 83, Motueka £3, and Kumara £8 ; total £111 18s lid. Tha expenditure also totalled £115 15 6d, oomposed of the following items : -Native minis'.er £30, Hokitika £40, Riobmond £20, Motueka £10, Havelook £7 103, and uundriea £4 5a 6d. The estimated income for next year is : Nelson £35, Bichmond £10, Blenheim £35, Hokitika £8. Greymouth £12, Motueka £3, and Kumara £8; total £111. Grant* in aid for the coming year were recommended, Hokitika £50. Motueka £20, Havelook £30, and Wairau Mission £30. Foreign Mießions. -Income £25 7s ii, the same being forwarded to the General Treasurers. R?gret was expressed that the 1 Missionary Raview ' is not more generally circulated. The Supernumerary, Children's, and Contingent Funds were passed under review, and their various balance sheets considered. Statistical Returns.— ln the distriot there are 20 churches, 23 other preaching places, seven ministers, one Home Missionary, 24 local preachers, 23 Sunday schools, 211 Sunday school teachers, 19 class leaders, bin church members, 1821 Sunday school scholars, and 41(51 attendants on pubiio worship. Date and i'ince of next District Meeting.— An inviiation was presented from the Graymouth Quarterly Meeting for the next session to hold its sitting in Greymouth. The matter waß fully considered, and it was unanimously reso.ved that the invitation be accepted. The next meeting will therefore be held at mouthThe Conference Lectureship. —It was moved by the Rev T G Brooke, and seconded by Mr A J Litchtield, " That unless the Conference be prepared to make the Conference Lecture an oflieial utt vanoe, this meeting would recommend that it be discontinued." The motion was carried unanimous y. This Morning. Methodist Union. — The Report of the Conference Committee on Methodist Union was received, and after considerable attention, ifc was resolved : — " fhis meetiug having heard the report on Methodist Union, as furnished by the Convener of the Conference Committee, is of opinion th-it Union is dearable on some such basia aa tlmt proposed, with which it ngrtes iv the main, Bat it regrets that as copies of the suggested amendments made by various Circuits were not in the hands of the members of the meeting, time did not allow of their being so fully considered as to enable the members to arrive at an intelligent conclusion on matters of such grave moment." Doctrine and Polity. -It was resolved, '' That we affirm our perfect; confidence in, and abiding attachment to, the doctrines and polity of Wealeyan Methodism, and rejoioe in the loyalty of our people thereto," Votes of Thanks.— lt wus resolved, "That the beat thanks of this meeting are due to Mr J. Boon, Secretary of Church Properties, for his services during the past year, and that we would recommend his reappointnieut by the Coufeieuce." It was further resolved that the most cordial thauks of the meeting bo presented to the friends who have so kindly cnt:rtiined tte members of the district. It was also resolved that a cordial vote of thanks be presented to the Preßs for the manner iv which it haa re-i ported the proceedings. The minutes were read and confirmed, and after devotional exeroiaes the meeting dosed.
