Melbourne, December 5. It is believed that the result of the investigation by the Board has been to confirm the allegations regarding the deficiencies in the Benevolent Fand of the Masonic Lodge, but aB the officer concerned wa3 not present at the inquiry, he may yet be able to satisfactorily account for the shortages. It is expeoted that the Grand Lodge will meet on the 18th mat. to receive the statement of the Grand Master.
