Sydney, This Day. Lieut. Honey, who won the Rifle Champiouship, hails from Kiania, not Viotoria. Private Mitchell, of Queensland, was second with 323 points, Seaman Nelson of New South Wales being third, with 320. The following are the New Zealand prizetakers in tha Champion aggregates :— W. Ballinger 309, MoFarlane 307, Webster 301, Brown 299, Wilkie 298, Howe 296, Kirk 291, Tobin 291. The Champion Teams Match waa won by the Petono Rifla Club, Wellington, with a score of 1469. The St, Le nard's team was second with 1442, tho Ballarat team being third with 1428 A protest has been lodged against the Petone team, chiefly on the ground that it embraced members of the Defence force, although it purported to be a private Club. The Committee of the Ass.civtion have called upon the Club to show causo why it should not be disqualified. The Petone Club won this match List yeur, and no objection then ra-.'.di to the status of the Club. If the Club is not disqualified it will secure the Challenge Cup, haviDg won it twice. The Auckland Club was thirteenth with 136 ii.
