Nkw York, October 20. In the match against Detroit the Australian deolared their innings closed when they had lost 8 wickets for 302 runs. Detroit scored only 71 iv the second innings, thus losing the match by an innings and 157 runs. The highest scores in the remaining portion of the Australian innings werp, Bruce 109 and Trumble 30. Ia the^Detroit second innings Qeorge Giffen took 8 wickets for 32, and Trott 8 for 29.
