uai'etown, uctouer _.v. News has been received that the column from Fort Victoria had engaged the enemy and defeated them. Tbe light took place at Indiamos, midway between Fort Salisbury and Bulawayo, and a hundred of the enemy were killed. The Fort Salisbury column also defeated the enemy near the same place. The two columns then united. The Chartered Company's column has also taken an active part in opposing Matabele's advance. Capt. Campbell was shot iv the leg and died. No other casualties among the Company's force are reported.
