The Government.
Wellington, This Day. ,The Government has received telegrams from O.ag^, Cinterbury, and Auckland expressing the sntisfaction of the senders with the new arrnngements. Sir G. Grey has scut his cordial good wishes and has intimated his opinion that the Government has au cxoellent opening for working for the go d of the colony. The Ager.t-General has telegraphed that the appointment of the new Ministry ba» been well reoeived io London and that the surplus has evoked emphatio comments in praise of the colony.
