Captain Edwin reported at 1 45 pm. today :— " N. to E. and S.E. gale with heavy rain and heavy sea within 12 hours from now. Glass fall and high tides." The Kennedy arrived from Wellington at 7 a in. to-day, and sails at 6 pm. for West Coast ports. The Waverley left l'atea last night for Wellington. The Murray is due at Wellington to-day, and, weather permitting, leaves to-night for Xelsou. She is announced to sail at noon to-morrow for W est Coast ports. The Charles Edward is due at Foxton to-day from Greymouth. The Mawhera left Greymouth at 11 o'clock this morning, will arrive here tomorrow morning, niul sail at II am. for Wellington direct. The Wainui arrived from Picton and Wellington at 730 this morning, and sailed at 9*30 a.m. for Greymouth direct. The Penguin arrived from Wellington and South at 730 this morning. She experienced thick dirty weather during the night. She sailed at 11 am. for Picton, Wellington, and Lyttelton. The Mahinapua leaves Manukau this afternoon, anil will arrive here on Monday morning. She sails at 1 p.m. for Taranaki and Manukau. The Grafton arrived from the West Coast last night, and sailed at S p in. for Wellington direct, arriving there at 8 a.m. to-day. She returns here on Saturday morning, and sails at 10 a.m. for the West Coast. The Lady Barkly left Collingwood at 9 50 a.m. to-day, and will arrive here this afternoon, The Elsie and Lady Barkly make trips to Motueka to-morrow, the former leaving here at 630 a.m, and the latter at am The John M'Dermott is now 123 days out from ISew York to Dunedin. Part of her cargo is for Nelson, and she will come on hem after discharging the Dunedin portion.
