Threatened Native Difficulty.

Napier, This Day. News has been received of a threatened Native trouble. At fort Galatea a big block of couatry has been awarded to two oppos ing hapus, and a native named Hare Hare took up a large mob of sheep with a view of occupying the land and other tnpus opposed and threatened force. The position was regarded as serious and two constables proceeded from Rotorua to the scene, Constable Murray hal interviews with both pirti'S, bat found it impossible to bring about even a temporary reconciliation. This is the third Native trouble demanding the presence of police in this police district. Already twenty men arc stationed at Whakatanc in view of further Uriwera survey trouble and Constable Murray is now demanding further assistance from Napier.
