Wellington, April 27. The following amended regulations relafciug to inspection of schools and standards of examinations appear in to-night's Gazette :— (1.) Knowledge of lha causa of phenomena of seasons shall not be required for tha fourth Standard, but shall be required for the fifch. (2 ) The last fivo of geometrioal problems presaribed for the fourth Standard may, at liia option of the teaoher, be reserved for thu fifth Standard.---(3.) For the first, Becond aud third Standards the inspectors shall not insist on the knowledge of teohuical word 3of geometry, eicept that for the third Standard the prescribed knowledge of degrees in a right pole, in sum of the angles of triangle, and about point, shall be required.
