L'ndon, April 27. The directors of tho J/mdon Chartered Bank are preparing a wclicme of reconstrnction with the assistance of the English and Scottish. It is stated that six hundred shaves in the London Chartered Bank are held in the colonies Sir J !•'. (Jarrick doubts whether the Bank could liave withstood a run here had the Melbourne branch not shut. He ' states that the failure of the Commercial Bank induced fresh withdrawals. The Queensland National Bn.k intends to proceed against the Standard for libel, for ' statiug that there ba I been a seiiouß ruu on tbe Bank iv Brisbane.
