SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTIONS.

NGATIMOTI. The annual meeting of the household; n took place in the school on Monday evening There was a good attendance. Mr Sutcliff< was TOtfd to the chair. Messrs J. Lbyd Alfred Robinson, and Walter Whi'e wen nominated on Monday week, and the follow iDg Monday evening: Messrs Ernest Robin Eon, Herbert Haycock, Charles Martin, J iinef Haycock, Thomas Thonnsin, and R. Sutcliffe. Others were nominated, but declined to stand. Messrs Sutoliffe and White withdrew and the following gentlemen were declared the Commit; tee for the ensuing year: Messrs Jamea llaycrck, Alfred Ho' ii ■ son, Ernest Robicson, Herbert Haycock, John Lloyd, Charles Martin, and Thomas Thomaain. The Committee af terwa; ds met, and Mr Jas. Haycock wbs elected chairman, Alfred Robiußon Btcretary, and Ernest Robinßon treasurer. The Committee reeolved to meet on the Monday following the meeting of the Education Board. Tbe Committee ateo passed the following resolution, proposed by Mr J. Lloyd and seconded by Mr A. Robin Eon : That a vote of thanks be offered to Mr Guy for his past services in the matter of education in this district, ;ir,d are sorry that he has cot coceented to be a member again." Mr Lloyd also stated that since he had been a member he could only speak in a very praiseworthy manner of Mr Guy, and equally bo as chairman of the late Committee. Mr Guy thanked tho Committee for the r kind vote, eep oially as it came unexpectedly, and what he hod done was with the sincere desire of advancing education in the district.
