After lunch the Auckland Match, 10 shots at 300 yards, was fired, this being the first match couuting for the Belt. The principal prize takers were : — Dicksou, Peninsula, 43, £6 ; Guise, Wellington, 42, £5 ; A. Camerou, Teuui, 42, £4 ; Henderson, Auckland, 41 £3; Remington, Wanganui, 41, £3 ; Howe, Wellington, 40, £2 ; Pringle, Wellington, 40. £2 ; Perry, Alexandra, 40, £2 ; Manning, Christohuroh, 40, £2
ilia Excellency Lord Glasgow and party frjm Government House, and Colonels Fox Webb, Newall, and Goring orrived oa t'le range at 4"30 p,m , and th_ Nehon Match was resumed.
At the conclusion of the 500 yards the highest ec -rers were: — Speedy, Tenui 6i ; Auohesoo, K itingata, 61; lload, Auckland, 61 ; St tt, Wellingtrn, 61 ; Binton, Featherstou, 65 ; A. Ballinger, Wellington, 62.
The 600 yards will be fired iv tho morning. The Governor and party left for town at 6-30 p.m.
