Wellington, Thia Day. The (Mago-Wellington match began this morning in the Basin Reserve. There is fine weather and a very good wicket. Otago won the toss and went to the wickets and in two hours all were disposed of for 14,1. Johnston made 12, Bell 37, Fisher 58, Crosford 15. Firth was the most successful bowler for Wellington, taking six wickets for 51 runs.
At 2*45 Wellington had made 42 without the loss of a wicket, Cross, not out, 30, Arthur Blacklock, not out, 12.
