After a wearisome delay tho rails are at last beiug laid ou tho Te Aro extension of tho railway, and plate laying may be fnnsh-*d next week, No steps aro being taken, however, towards the erectiou of a station, so that it is ovideut that no trains aro likely to run for a considerable time, Thero is much grumbling at tho vrx\tiously slow way iu whioh tho work has been carried on,
