Wellington, This Day. The Trades and Labour Council have forwarded a petition signed b ylsoo Unionists to Queensland in favour of the liberation of the men imprisoned during the last strike. The Counoil also passed a resolution of sympathy with General Booth's efforts to relieve the poverty and the distress at Home, bufc recommending him to endeavour to move publio opinion by the ballot box in favour of settling poor people on the deer parka of fche aristocracy instead of bringing them to fche colonies. At fche same time bhe Council is careful to express an opinion in favour of fche (immigration of men wifch capital.
