Adelaide, October 14. Information has been received that the expedition organised by Sir Thomas Elder to explore Central Australia has reaohed the coast of Western Australia, all well. The expedition traversed five huudred aud twenty miles without finding water. Brisbane, Ootober 14. In the oourse of.a lengthy speech to-night Sir Thomas M'llwraith referred to the difference with the Bank of England, and stated that the Bank attaohed unnecessary importance to his words, and although he might have used other words, it could not alter the faots of the oase. The Bank, he deolared, was only blustering, and even now had not fulfilled its promise to see the Oolony out of its difficulty.
