, L „ Wanganui, This Day. At the Supreme Court, Gray, for stabbing and wounding, was sentenced to eight months' imprisonment with hard labour. Harry Laing and William Noble pleaded not guilty to a charge of stealing £230 from Joseph Abbott. Mr Fitzherbert appeared for the Orowa. Mr Ooates for Noble, and Mr David Hogg for Laing. The evidence in main was similar to that given before the Police Court. The oaaa is expeoted to last all day. New Plymouth, This Day. ihe Supreme Court opened this morning, when the Crown Prosecutor entered a nolle prosequi in the case of John Hunter, oharged with rape. This completes the criminal business.
