Escape of Gas.

Melbourne, This Day, A singular gas escape from the mains into the sewers occurred in Elizabeth street yesterday. By some meana the gas was ignited, and the flames burst through the gratings into the street and rose nearly thirty feet ia height. On the outbreak being discovered the gas was out off and the flimes were extinguished.
