The Ooreana are the greatest eaters known. Their stomachs are generally abnormal in size, and the one possessing the largest is generally considered the richest. The Boaroity.of meat in MnDiqh is so great that the polios have given orders that no doga should be slaughtered for eating purposes unless adjudged sound by the veterinary Burgeons. Three bntohers were arrested for slaughtering and aelling meat' of stolen dogs. One butcher was sentenoed to two months' imprisonment for slaughtering thirty stolen mongrels. Bishop Frenoh, of England, who died, recently in Arabia, was known as 'that niany-tongued man of Lahore,' for he could preaoh in English, Persian. Hindustani, Pnshto, Hindei, Tamil and Punjabi, and was aa eminent scholar in Hebrew, Arabic, Syriao, Greek and Latin.
