London, June 2, It is probable that the Bank rate of disoount will bo reduoed to four per oent on Thursday. Six great Joint Stook Banks haye agreed not to discount bills, exoept for their regular oustomers, at lobs than 3J per oent for the present, The other banks whioh were represented at the meeting with the Direotors of the Bank of England yesterday, have requested time to oonsider the action they will take with referenoe to disoount rates.
