One of the matters to be placed before the Municipal Conference will bo a proposal for reform in the management of Fire Brigades throughout the Colony, The Chairman of the Wellington City Fire Brigade Committee is getting a Bill prepared for introduction to Parliament during the coming session. It will provide for the control of a Brigade in each town by a Board to oonsist of, say six members, one*third appointed by the Gov~ eminent, one-third by the Municipal authorities, and one third by the Insurance Companies. For this measure the approval of the Conference will bo sought.
