Mr Parnell, replying to an Irish deputation congr tulating him on hia compute viadicatiou, dcolftr*d that concession would follow concession until a National Parliament was restored to Ireland. He asserted that he had never admitted tbafc the Commission was a fair tribunal, but thf> real ieaue was incapable of deoieion by an earthly tribunal. The main issue was ignored at tho preaent trial, and a political issue was put before men inoompetent to give a fair decision on the
subjeof. If the consiitutional movement failed to rts^ore to Ireland the righo to mako her own laws he would nob remain at Weetminster 24 hoars, but he believed that at laet Irishmen were very near to the (realisation of their wishes,
