Wellington, September 19. A boat accident occurred this afternoon. A laborer named Collins, accompanied by his wife and four children, was out sailing when one of the children shifted to the lee .side of the boat, causing a capsize. Collins and bio wife and one child got ashore safely, tho wife being much exhausted. A girl aged 10 was supposed to be drowned, but a number qf boats put off, and after some difficulty succeeded in picking up all the children.

Alfred Worsfall and Alfred Eobin, clerks m the Gear Meat Co.'s employ, bave been arrested on charges of alleged embezzlement, the former of £18 10s and £15 (ss, and the latter of 12s (id and Is 9d. They were brought before the Court and remanded. Bail was allowed.
