RICHMOND TOWN BOARD.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the Board was held on Tuesday, August 9th, at 7-30 p.m. Present—Messrs Fittall (Chairman in the absemce of Mr Harkness) Orouoher, Joseph B.est, Saywell, Holdaway, andM'Rae. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Tenders for the supply of horses and carts aa required for t welve months were coneidered, and it was resolved that the tender of H. Ruffell for 9s i3d and 12s be accepted. Three offers for the supply of broken metal were received!, and the price being the same in eaoh, viz., 3s per cubic yard, the I Overseer was instructed to order 100 yards I for present requirement, to be divided between the tenderers. I Resolved, That itin pipes be placed in a water crossing- on the Cemetery road, and I the roadway filled level. J Resolved, That the timber necessary to I complete the approaches to the bridges recently erected on the main road be procured, and Mr Holdaway whs requested to I see the work carried I out. Payments were authorised for £12 15s 6d. J
