In the Jlouse of Commons to-day, a debate took place on the amendment to fche Irißh Land Bill inserted in tbe Housa of Lords at the instanoo of the Government relative to the judicial rents clause by chauges in the prices to be paid. Mr Parneli denounced the amendment aa one which destroyed half the benefits of tb.H Bill. Sir Vernon Harcourt and Mr Chamberlain oppo3«d the amendment, and the Marquis of Hartingt >n advised that the debate be adjourned till Tr.u-sday next, to which Mr Smith, on bwbalf of the Govern mout, asneuted. Paws, August 13. Two JTrench aeronauts ascended in a bulloon lo a height of 7000 metres, the highest attitude ever attained in a balloon. Ottawa, August 13. A sculling match between Teenier and Hanlan took place to-day, and resulted in a victory for Teemer. Sofia, August 13. He ha? issued a manifesto, in which he appeals to the Bulgarians for support, and declares that he will devote his life and happiness tp them.
