RIWAKA ROAD BOARD.

The Board met on the 7th inst, all the members present. — The use of a certain unused road was granted to Mr James, till such time as the Board should require the same — Resolved on the motion of Mr Drummond, seconded by Mr Fry, That a rate of three farthings in the ,-6 be levied on all rateable property in the district for the current year, the rate to be payable at the Board's office on October IG. — The Chairman was authorised to engage a man to clear the boulders from the ford in the Iliwaka river. — It was resolved, That the Chairman and Messrs Drummond ancl Macmahon inspect the Swamp Boad, and decide what repairs are necessary. — Resolved, on the motion of Mr Drummond, seconded by Mr Fry, That j the wharves be free until further notice. — Cheques were signed for £'5S 10s ud.
