Numerous farewell addresses will be presented to Bishop Moorhouse on his departure for England, among them being one which it is proposed shall be accompanied by a public gift of twelve hundred pounds, lists for which are still open. Bishop Moorhouse will sail on March 18. The Queensland Government have decided to decline to enter into an agreement for subsidising the Eastern Extension Com pany's cable under tbe conditions proposed by Mr John Pender for further reductions upon the telegraphic tariff.
