GREYMOUTH RACES.
(From our own Correspondent.) [First Day.] Grkymouth, Wednesday night. . The races were held to-day, the weather beingpersiWently inclement all day. Omctumbtu Handicap. — Hinemoa 1, Lady Ellen 2, Cardigan 3. Six started. Midsumiber Handicap. — Volunteer 1, 'Wanderer 2. Only tliese two started. Flying Handicap.— Hinemoa 1, Lady Ellen 2. Six started. The Railway Stakes fell through as there were only two acceptances. The hurdle race was postponed on account of the bad weather and the slippery state of the course. [Second Day.] The second day's, races were held yesterday. The weather was fine and there was a large attendance. , Hurdle Bace.— Lillipee 1, Birdie 2, Harkaway 3. . Hack Race.-^-The Cob 1, No Name 2. Grey Valley Stakes. — Volunteer 1, Cardigan 2, Wanderer 3. Hack Handicap. — Crazy Jane came in first but was disqualified and the stakes given to Old Bob Ridley. Six started. ■ Brunner Stakes.— Hinemoa 1, Maggie 2.
