MOTUEKA.

There were ten nominations, and the following was the result of the ballot: — Messrs J. Delaney 48, R. Hursthouse 39, T. Boyes 38, J. Jordon 22, J. Orsman 15, Rev S. Poole 14, J. Rumbold 9. G. Green 9, It. J. Trewavas 8. A. P. Rawsou G. Messrs Rumbold and Green having tied for seventh place, the Chairman (Mr Hursthouse) gave his vote in favor of the former, and the first named seven were declared elected. Mr Hursthouse was subsequently appointed Chairman of the Committee.
