Passengers : Miss Smart, Mesdames Buchholz, White, Fox, Sharp, Wilks, Woodroofe, Misses Munro (2), Mas! er Buchholz, Messrs Woodcock, Ruff, Woodroofe, Sharp, Raine, Buchholz. Jennings, Hart, Pickett, and IGO excursionists. 2, steamer Kennedy, 136, Conway, for West Coast.
Capta'n Edwin reported at 3 p m.:—" Bad •wenther approaching; auy direction between west and south and' south-east. Glass will rise. Every indication of exceptionally heavy gale and weather c ild" The Kenuedy arrived at Westport at cine tt'clock this morning, and leaves there for Hokitika-to-uight. . ' Tho Wallace Irffc Greymouth to-day for Neleon direct. She leaves here for the Wairau Ferry and Wellington on Wednesday at 6 p.m.The Charles- Edward leaves Wellington for NeJp.on" this evening', and proceeds to West "Coast ports at 2 p.m. to-morrow. The Wakatu arrived from Wellington at 5.30 p.m yesterday, and sails for Wangmuii and Wellington at 6 o'clock to-night. The Murray left Greymouth to-day, aud leaves Westport to-night, arriving here tomorrow night, and proceeding to Wanganui on Wednesday evening. . The Wanoka left Wellington at noon today, will arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail for Picton, Wellington, and South by' the same tide at 10 a.m. The Wakatipn ia detained at Dunedin until next Saturday, so that she will not leave Wellington for Sydney till January 11th, instead of the 4th as previously announced. The Ariazi broke bulk and commenced discharging . this morning. Her cargo lonics well, find gives every promise of being landed in good condition. The Hawea sailed for Wellington Taranaki, and Manukau, with the outward San Francisco mail, at 9 pm. on Saturday, and reached tho former port yesterday morning. After receiving the Southern portion of the mail from the Wanaka she proceeded on her. journey in the afternoon, and should arrive at Onehungatoi-morrow morning. •
