The Lady Barkly arrived from Golden Bay this afternoon. The Mad Cap will finish discharging cargo oa Monday. The Argus is undergoing some slight alterations prior to commencing running in tbe coasting trade. The Pelorus arrived from Havelock last evening. She leaves on the return trip tomorrow. Two or three coasters, bound in the direction of the French Pass, which left here yesterday morning, returned to port in the evening, having been unable to face tbe strong N.W. wind outside." The steamer recently built at Wellington for the Patea trade, wiil be launched tomorrow. She will be ready for sea in Janaary, The ketch Falcon, which got ashore on the Patea bar on Sunday last, was floated off on Tuesday, after being lightened by throwing 20,000 feet of timber overboard. The Claud Hamilton leaves Greymouth at six o'clock this evening for Nelson direct, •will arrive, to-morrow evening, and sail for Picton, Wellington, South, aud Melbourne at 7 o'clockou Sunday morning. By calling at Picton on Sunday the Claud Hamilton makes the bi-weekly service with Picton unbroken, and which is to be continued all this month. 'The Wellington arrived in harbor this — jporning at 7.5. She left Wellington at 2 p.m. yesterday, aud arrived at Picton at 8.30 p.m.; sailed at 9.30 p.m., and arrived here as above.
