Bluff, Thursday. The s__. Albion left Melbourne on tho 17th inst., and Hobartohoh the 19th, and arrived at Milford Sound on the 23rd at 3 p.m. She left again at 7*30 p.m. and arrived here early this morning having encountered a heavy S.W. gale at: the Sound, and thence to the Bluff. She brings 64 saloon passengers and 264 tons of cargo for all ports. Passengers for Nelson: Sir John Campbell, Mesdames Brown .and Bain, Messrs • Penny, Rankin, Chesner,. Morgan, and Hall; also 12 tons of cargo. • , Lth.ei.ton, Thursday. The N.Z.S.S. Company's ship Waipa has arrived with 282 immigrants and ten saloon passengers, all well. She had a fine weather passage; crossed the line in .32 days. Wellington, Thursday. The sentence of the law is to be carried out on Martin Cur tin. Blenheim, Thursday. Woodgate was executed at six o'clock this morning at Ficton. - He made no confession. New Plymouth, Wednesday. Messrs-Allen and Kingstreet, contractors j for the Dunedin and Moeraki railway, effected a successful junction in the tunnel from Port Chalmers to Mansfordtown, striking the exact centre of the line at levels given hy the engineer.
