National Bank v. Godtiff.—Mr Fell ap- ? eared fqr plain' iffs, and Mr titt for defendant'he question raise I in this case was whether the stamp on a. bill of exchange acceped- by the defendant had' been, properly cancelled, the date of cancellation not being written on it. After hearing argummts on both sides, his Honor ruled that the feqitrements of the Stamp Act generally had bsen compli* d with, «nd as there oppcared to have been no intention to "defraud the revenue, the bill would be admitted as evidence.
