CIVIL SITTINGS. [Before his Honor Mr. Justice Richmond.*) YESTERDAY. Mabin, Trustee in Estale of W. Stavert, V. SCLANDERS. This was an action brought hy the pa-miff, as trustee in bankruptcy of W. Stavert, to recover the sum of £1124 la lid, being the amount of certain book debts claimed by the plaintiff as belonging t> Stavert's estate. The defendant had collected the book debts under the authority of an assignment of them to him made by Stavfrt on the 12th day of May, i 874. This deed the plaintiff impeached in the present iction, as having been iuado after Stavert had committed au act of bankrupt'-y, of which the defendant had notice, and therefore void as against Stavert's trustee in bankruptcy. After a short deliberation, the jury found a verdict for the plaintiff for the amount claimed.
