Mr Bennett, upon ceasing his connection with the N.Z.S.S. Company, of which he his Been providore since the Taranaki was raised in Tory Channel, was presented the other day by the stewards of the varnua boats belonging to the Company with a liandjome gold watch, bearing a suitable inscription. The brig Lunan, Captain Whuton, consigned to Messrs n Davis and Co., arrived at the outer anchorage yestcrdßy afternoon from China. She left Foo Chow on the 3rd of October, partly laden with, tea, and proceeded to Hong Kong, where she arrived on the 6th, and took in the remainder of her cargo, consisting of rice and Chinese fancy goods. Sailed- on the 9th_ and experienced fire weather with light wind* and calms down the China Se?. Anchored at Anjer on (he Bth November, and tailed again on the folio-win? day. From thence fine weather across the S.K trades, but fell in with rough aud baffling winds in running down her ea&ting. Made Cape Farewell on the 28th inst., and arrived as above.
