The Anchor Line Co.'s s.s. Kennedy arrived in port at 7 a.m. on Saturday. She left JNelson on Tuesday, the 6th, at 7 p.m., experienced light south-east winds on the passage to Westport, where she arrived at 6 p.m. on the 7th. Could not land cargo on Thursday, owing to the heavy rain falling. Discharged cargo on Friday, but was detained through the fresh. Left Westport on Saturday at 11 p.m., and arrived at Hokitika on Sunday morning at 9 o'clock. Landed and took in cargo on Monday, but was detained; owing to the bar being bad, and a fresh in the river. Left at. 11 am. on Wednesday, arriving at Greymouth at 2 p.m. the same day. Landed cargo on Thursday- and left at 3 p.m. for Westport, arriving there at 11 p.m. same day. Landed a quantity of cargo for Keefton and left at 2 a.m. on Friday for the Karamea. Crossed that bar at 1 p.m. same day. Took Mr. and Mrs. Waite and stores on board, and. left at .3 p.m. for Nelson. Experienced light variable winds on the passage, arriving as above.
