Maaritius, : &c, arid for Wellington, Napier, and ; Southern Provinces, and Australian Colonies, — per b.s. Claud Hamilton, this day, at 8 p.m. Note^ — Inconsequence of the Australian Mails being now conveyed; by British Packets between Brindisi and Alexandria, a reduction in Postage on- Letters sent via: Brindisi has been effected. The rates of Postage to be charged in New Zealand on Correspondence for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi, will therefore be as follows : — Letters.—- Not exceeding %, ounce, 9d. ; exceeding i ounce ianct not exceeding 1 ounce, 1gi..6d..; and. so 0n,,.9d for every. additional J%ounce or fraction of 4, ounce. <,., ; [Newspapers under 4, ounces,, each. 4d.; for eVery additional 4 ounces, 4d. ..Book. and. Pattern Parcels.— Not exceeding, 1 ounce, 2d. ; exceeding 1 ounce and Dot exceeding' 2 ounces, 4dT; exceeding 2 ounces and not exceeding 4 ounces, 7d.; exceeding 4 ounces and not exceeding 8 ounces, Is. ?d.; and so on, Is 2d for every additional 8 ounce 8 or fraction of 8 ounces. ; ; SYDNEY J.
