NELSON BOARD OF WORKS.
Friday, June 2. Present: All the members except Mr. Dodsou. The following tenders were opener! : For wauling one side of St. Vinceut-st., and making up the road, at per chain : 11. K. Turner, £3 10s.; John Aitken, £2 125.; R. Carter, £2 7s. Gd. The teuder of R. Carter was accepted. The Surveyor waa instructed to have Bridge-stroist gravelled, from Collingwood Street to the entrance to the Government Buildings; 1 also to obtain 50 yards of Boulder Bunk gravel for general repairs. A letter was received from Mr. Stringer calling attention to iho uttite (if the ditches iv Kowai and Brotifci Streets. Referred to Public Works Committee. Permission was granted to the Messrs. Hooper to erect a furfee on the roaditi Milton-street for the^purpose of protecting" a live fence. The, Surveyor to get the channel paved in Trafalgnr-st., from Mrs. Bird's to the Trafalgar Hotel. Thn Board then adjourned until Friday, the 16th June.
